"music for the rooms where the lights have been turned off."

soft silent is a project of atmospheric instrumental music. piano, ambient texture, slow weight, and the spaces in between. each release is shaped around a single emotional place — a memory, a ruin, a feeling that never had words.

i started writing music at eighteen. i'm twenty-two now. these records are the things i couldn't say in any other way. all instrumental. all meant for late hours.

— sound
dark ambient. dungeon synth. neoclassical piano. slowed-and-reverb dream pieces. anything that feels like an empty room at four in the morning.
— influences
øneheart, evgeny grinko, .diedlonely, christopher larkin (hollow knight), motoi sakuraba (dark souls). the silence between notes more than the notes.
— games that shaped this
hollow knight. dark souls. the long hours of being lost in a place that wasn't real but felt more honest than the one outside.
— the project
three records so far, three different rooms. a journal in sound. nothing else, nothing more.

things i never said
out loud

eleven movements for piano and silence. recorded in dim rooms while it rained outside, and never quite finished.

— mood rain · piano · memory · empty rooms
— for listeners of evgeny grinko, ólafur arnalds, neoclassical piano, late night ambient
— best heard alone, after a long day, with the lights off.
    — the story —
    a record of small silences

a series of piano pieces written between rooms. each one carries a feeling that never made it into a conversation — a goodbye that wasn't said, a memory that wouldn't leave, a silence that felt more honest than words ever could.

the recordings are intentionally imperfect. dust on the keys. the hum of an old room. rain against a window that wouldn't shut all the way. the album was never meant to be polished — it was meant to feel like the moments that made it. late, tired, alone, unfinished.

eleven movements. no vocals. no drums. just the things that stayed inside.

    the forgotten
    realm

a journey through three forgotten places. piano and stone, fog and ember, distant choirs in rooms that no longer exist.

    — mood stone · fog · candlelight · forgotten kingdoms
    — for listeners of dungeon synth, dark ambient, fantasy game soundtracks, gothic atmospheres
    — best heard with headphones, in the dark, while the world is asleep.

            — the story —
three places that no longer exist

a concept album in three chapters. each one a place that was, and then wasn't.

chapter i — the forsaken cathedral. an abandoned house of worship, candle smoke still hanging in the air. vespers, compline, vigils — services held for no one, by no one, in a building that has forgotten how to pray.

chapter ii — the fogbound woods. an ancient forest where the old gods used to walk. the druids are gone, but the trees still remember. the mist that rises here is older than language.

chapter iii — beneath the ruins. below a crumbled kingdom, a sleeping king dreams of empire. what lies in the catacombs is patient. what echoes through the stone is older than the kingdom that built it.

a hidden track waits in the static, for those who listen all the way through.

            the weight
            of what remains

eight pieces in two halves · 21 minutes · one record about light fading slowly, and another about what is left when it is finally gone.

              where the lanterns go dim
              four pieces · 11:01
                — mood ruin · pale light · soul · memory
                — for listeners of christopher larkin, hollow knight ost, dark ambient, slow piano
                — best heard after midnight, with headphones, when the last light in the room is gone.
                — the story —
                a kingdom that forgot itself

a record built around a single image: a great hall once full of light, slowly emptying. side a happens before. side b happens after.

side a — under the last light. the cathedral is still standing. the windows still hold a little color. someone is still playing the piano. but everyone knows the light is going.

side b — where the lanterns go dim. the great hall is empty now. the lanterns are out one by one. what remains is the weight of having been there. the dignity of remembering. the silence after.

this album was written in the months after finishing hollow knight. nothing else needs to be said.
